Biographical introduction of Master Xu Chao Xing

Master Xu Chao Xing has been:
徐先生The Grand Master of China Arts and Crafts; The Member of China Arts and Crafts Academy; The Member of China Industrial Design Association; The Member of Zhejiang Ceramic Arts Academy (Vice Chairman); Awarded Labor Decoration (Model of Excellent Labor); 栄誉証The Member of the House of Representative of China National People's Congress; The Longchuan Celadon Porcelain Institute (General Master of Arts and Crafts); The President of Chao Xing Celadon Porcelain House; The Vice Chairman of Zhejian Ceramic Artists Academy.

Master Xu Chao Xing was born in Longchuan city on March 21 (Sunday), 1943.

1956: (13 years old) He begun to study under Master Li Huai De.
1979: The work of "Fine Precision Lantern for China-U.S. Friendship" was presented to the White House as a commemoration gift of China-U.S. friendship (being kept in the White House).
1980: In September, Mr. Xu was appointed the head of "Longchuan Celadon Porcelain
Institute, devoting researches of antique and modern celadon porcelains.
1982: In July, A 52 cm ornamental plate co-crafted with Master Li Huai De was approved as a modern national treasure.
1986: The 33 sets of Canju (table wares) received the Grand Prize in the National Exhibition of Ceramic Arts.餐具33点セット
1992: Mr. Xu was awarded as a special distinguished artist from the Chinese Government. He was elected as a representative member of China National People's Congress for the first time.
1994: Mr. Xu crafted a 65 cm high "Meiping" (plum bottle) which is mixed type of "Geyao" (product of elder brother's kiln) and "Diyao" (product of younger brother' kiln). The two works of "Douliwan" and "Meiping" are being displayed in the Beijing Renmin Dahuitang.
* "Geyao": "Ge" means elder brother in Chinese. This is a celadon porcelain product with fine crackle patterns on the surface.
"Diyao": This means younger brother. This is a product without fine crackle patterns on the surface.
* A number of "Geyao" such as Ping/Lu/Xi (a pot for dumping sewage) and Pan (a flat plate) had been produced in Nansong era. No one knows where the products of "Geyao" had been produced.
1996: Mr. Xu was appointed to the Grand Master of China Arts and Crafts. He was elected again as a representative member of China National People's Congress.
1999: His master works called "Wan-bang-chang-cheng" and "Ji-qing-ping" have been displayed in the Beijing Renmin Dahuitang since the 50th National Foundation Day and 40th anniversary of Renmin Dahuitang building (Zang-wu-zi No. 22).国家重要礼品の指定
Mr. Xu established a workshop called "Chao Xing Qingyuan (Celadon Porcelain House)" and took the position of President.
His celadon porcelains received designation of a National Important Gift.

Master Xu Chao Xing has been very active as the first ranking artist for Chinese Traditional Arts and Crafts.
